Ship Finder shows live moving ships on a worldwide map. The intuitive design combined with incredible performance puts you in control. Watch in full screen, view in AR, search, add filters and so much more!

Ship Finder has been top rated and top ranking since 2009 and covers most of the world, tracking 20,000+ ships simultaneously.

Our incredible app performance means that you can see all tracked vessels at once - no clustering here!
Simply tap a ship to see its name, type, photos, speed, dimensions and much more.
Powerful features such as filters, search and the ability to save favourite ships are included. (You can choose Apple or Google maps too!).

Add and browse bookmarks to saved locations around the globe to quickly navigate to areas or ports of interest.

You can even use Augmented Reality (AR) view to identify ships out at sea using your device camera.

Ship Finder works by picking up AIS ship feeds used by all passenger vessels, vessels over 300 tons and increasingly by smaller pleasure craft and yachts. This technology is actually faster than radar and is used by vessels for safety and navigation.

Ship Finder provides near real time “virtual radar” AIS maps. It’s easy to use and is an amazing app for anyone interested in shipping, cruising and sailing in ports and locations across the world. It’s also great if you simply want to know what boats are out there or want to see where your friends and family are. Ship Finder is also used extensively by maritime professionals and mariners.

Our global AIS coverage is impressive and expanding all of the time as we add new AIS feeds and receivers. Please check www.shipfinder.co regularly to see the latest coverage.

Pros and cons of Ship Finder app for iPhone and iPad

Ship Finder app good for

Great app, easy to follow ships and fun to participate by adding photos of ships you spot. MDF
Fascinating to see ship movements, especially passenger liners that we can see from our eighth floor condo.
Seems to catch most of the ships but data on ships often missing key info and lack of photos. Otherwise better at finding active ships than Vesseltracker, which I also paid for.
At home and away we like to check the freighter traffic we can see out on the lake. Tracks are interesting.
Works like its suppose to in my local area of Vancouver-Victoria. Sometimes issues with scrolling and zooming. I assume its a fixable bug.
Nice to be able to know ships names passing by our town here on the north end of Vancouver Island.

Some bad moments

Not showing any ship when there is a dozens that we can see, use maritime trafic live and see them all. Not a very good purchase
This is not bad but continuously leaves the leeward islands in the Caribbean devoid of shipping. Unfortunately I live in Antigua
Not worth the purchase !!!!! Half the time the application does not show the ships in port ! Dont waste your time nor money on this crap application
Charts are good but ships and their location are inaccurate on the St. Lawrence Seaway in Canada
I paid $2.99 for Ship Finder HD and every ship I searched came up no results. I used Vessel Finder and found what I was looking for immediately. Deleted this app, wish I could get that $2.99 back. Serious waste of money!
The app crashes constantly with iOS8 on my iPad Air. I have difficulty finding ships. Would be nice if there were some sort of means by which one could be notified that a ship was in the vicinity. Plane Finder is very good. Not so - Ship Finder.

Usually Ship Finder iOS app used & searched for

marine traffic, vessel finder, imo live, MarineTraffic - Ship Tracking, and other. So, download free Ship Finder .ipa to run this nice iOS application on iPhone and iPad.
