Down loaded Ship Finder Lite app first and was disappointed it did not show three cruise ships passing my hotel while vacationing in the Bahamas. So I downloaded for $4.99 the Ship Finder app with same disappointing results. Cannot not find a cruise ship tracking app that is any good. I wish there was a app like flight radar 24. Do not waste your money on this app.

This used to be an awesome app, the equivalent of Flightradar24 for ships. That was years ago, now it barely shows any ships at all: on an average day, it displays less than half those visible on Marine Traffic, so why bother?

I wanted to track a vessel that carries my container to Europe but after a few days in the Caribbean it is untracked and i can’t see where it is. I found more info online and for free. Please don’t waste your money and believe the description. It’s not much money but it’s not worth it.

Was hoping the search bar worked

Once in awhile the app doesn’t recognize ships but that’s rare. Love that I can see what ships are coming down the river in front of my campsite.

You can't see the route of the any ships at all. Don't pay money for it at all The latest update is about 5 years ago!!!

I find it easy to locate my cruise ship with Ship Finder.

Unless something happened with the download I can’t tell this app is completely and totally useless. I work in the Gulf of Mexico which means I have to go to Port Fourchon and locate boats there. It doesn’t show anything in the Gulf of Mexico. I don’t know how that’s possible because one of the biggest ports is there

I had high hopes for this when I upgraded from the Lite version, but the thrill is quickly leaving. The first thing I found was random boats traveling at 1177MPH. The developer acknowledges this is a bug. Now, with Crab season starting in Alaska I have been watching all the Deadliest Catch fleet moving into the area, but now ALL of Alaska has lost AIS coverage for this app only! This is a hobbiest viewer app, nothing more, and now one of the key places to follow boats in the US has been lost on this app. Why? Additionally when on the Calif coast looking at marine traffic I can also clearly see the oil platforms that I have already requested be included because they are marine obstacles and nice to locate on the map. There are a very few that show on Ship Finder, but they come and go randomly. Maybe there for a day or two, then gone for weeks. That’s useless too

We’re tracking a cargo vessel from the USA to Lisbon but were disappointed to find that tracking doesn’t work until vessels are relatively close to land. Aside from that, the app is great.

The service is really bad don’t trust it, they play with you

Can’t find my boat or dozens of other AIS boats in the Caribbean. Like, not a single boat in St Vincent and the Grenadines. It was cheap so I guess I don’t care but still bugs me I spent money on it.

I cannot get this app to work. It will not show the boat’s location when I type in the name.

Absolutely LOVE this app! Wish I’d had it decades ago!

Despite contacting support on the number of occasions, this app continues to be unreliable, which renders it basically useless? I am in LA Harbor, and while the app shows several boats in the area, mine is never listed as well as boats nearby that I have a visual on. I have a second ship locator app, and it is much more reliable, and also free.

App hardly shows any details for most ships. Almost all ships showing “n/a” for all categories of information.

I could not get ships to show on the app even though I could see them in person. I didn’t expect to see every ship and boat show on the app but I shout see at one ship somewhere. Waste of money.

Slow to load ships on the map and whole area of map not displaying any vessels. Search of my cargo ship is missing in action. Not in database. Either ship database is not up to date or there is a problem with the app.

I m giving one star because its the lowest i can. Do not buy. This app do not work.

I bought this for one purpose, to track ships in and out of the Florida Keys. It seems their tracking ability ends at Miami. Do not recommend.

Very few ships in my port (Portland) and nothing out to sea. Not at all useful

I paid $5 for this app to not show ships I can see clear as day from my window. They show up on Marine Traffic and that app is free. Wish I could get a refund for this garbage.

To add to the frustration of not ‘finding’ ships I can see in front of me with my own eyes, now for the very few that actually show up, they disappear entirely. Ghost ships I guess. It’s hard to imagine an app that was less worth the waste of money. This app literally does nothing it was supposed to do.

I’m looking for very specific ships, and none of them are showing up. Not as useful as I would’ve hoped.

App does not show barges on the OH river! Also, app wants to charge $.99 to identify each boat.

This used to be a pretty good app that I could rely on when I saw a vessel that piqued my interest. Sure, I would have preferred to see the vessel name instead of just the MMSI, but it was still okay. Lately, however, it has become much less reliable. It fails to register vessels that I can clearly see. I thought at first that maybe some military vessels just weren’t broadcasting due to recent tensions, but then I realized that some civilian traffic such as the ferry that is normally detected and displayed has also failed to register in the app. Frankly, these days when I open the app I do it with lowered expectations.

A MUST HAVE for those who love to ships and boats of all sizes. I use this app to track the big cargo ships in the New York and jersey area for picture taking and drone pictures. The App i would give ten stars !

I am sitting here watching commercial boats go by and they show no boats within 100 miles of me

More often than not, it doesn’t show the ships, even though we can see them visually

Half the sailboats I normally follow on another similar app are not showing up…this is a worthless app

This is theft, basically. The app does not work. The search bar can’t find correctly typed boats by name. The app freezes. This is a waste of time. Whoever’s selling this is unethical.

There are no longer any vessels showing in Tampa bay.

Seems like there is an exclusion zone for vessels nearby unless you spend money to upgrade. Kinda useless app if you can’t identify close by marine traffic.

This app is not working since Installation not able to find a single ship

I tried looking up my cargo ship from China to EU and this app doesn’t have it. Same with most cargo ships. It’s only has a small list of ships.

Looking for location of Freedom of the Seas. Know that it is currently in port but app does not find it. Used another app and it pick it up. This app is not worth downloading.

There are apparently no ships around Nantucket or Cale Cod. The pay app never shows them even when they are visible on the free website.

Some of the ships don’t have photos attached to their profile. It would be nice to have the capability to upload the photos I take to the photo gallery for future paid users to see.

I bought this app to track tugs on the Mississippi River and it failed miserably. It only seems to track river boats around Memphis. Waste of my money for sure. Reached out to support but nobody responded.

I’m in Hawaii currently, and watching a huge container ship enter the harbor, and there doesn’t appear to be a ship within several hundred miles on the app. Many ships are visible in the area..

Paid for full version only for it to show ZERO ships in my area (while I could visibly see two tankers, a pleasure craft, and two tugs.) Money down the drain for me....

So much missing. No ships in western Indian Ocean or Red Sea. Why ?

It hasn’t been updated in years. There are much better alternatives out there, they really shouldn’t be charging money for it at this point.

Extremely limited, lol. For example, it doesn't show Suez Canal ships, or anything in that area 👎

This is the second app I’ve used like this and it seems that every time I pay for the subscription it stops working soon after. I work on tugs and it never shows any boats in my area I’ve done all that I could to fix it but still nothing. I have most of our boats saved to my fleet and I won’t show them nor will it show any other vessels in my area. It will show boats around in other states
