Ship Finder App Reviews

This app shows very few AIS equipped ships on the Great Lakes. If this is your area of interest, it is not worthwhile.

Great for spotting ships, but sometimes visible ships "disappear" from the tracker. Also shows ships location or route over land. Guess the transponder / phone location info is not reliable. Ships photos take a long time to load

I bought this app as my son is at sea, as staff, on a cruise ship. I wanted to know where he is. As a pilot, Planefinder is superb. I thought Shipfinder would be as good. Locking on to a ship, I would expect the app to follow the vessel like Planefinder does with aeroplanes. It doesnt. Very disappointed in this app. Simply enter into Google where is name of vessel will do the same quicker.

This apps is not interresting for that area from Montréal to Halifax Im very desapointed

Crashes on opening as did the original free version. $5.99 is a lot to pay for an app and not be able to use it at all is outrageous. Apple naturally insulates itself well enough that trying to get a refund is hardly worth the hassle if you even can.

Does not show Great Lakes ships. Dont waste your time or money. Developers no help either.

Could not track a cruise ship beyond Vancouver Island. The app "FindShip" can see it in Ketchikan but nothing on Ship Finder. Free did not work so I wasted $$ on the full version. Bad decision :(

Only showed one boat in our area where free online trackers show dozens. Should have read the reviews before buying :-(

A very nice long overdue update to a very good software app.

Please check marinetraficc app. And learn make a app.Your app not working in black sea, İstanbul streight and Marmara sea. I wrote any time " solve this problem" but still they can not.Dont buy anyone.

Just to say that this soft is useful in order to get a ships position. It is my recommendation to extend a zone of coverage including the Black sea, Azov sea as well.

The programm does not show the ships in the Caspian Sea... We need it... We bought it for that

Ravenna port results not included in the coverage areas and some small area on south Adriatic sea, also. The matter it sounds very strange because Ravenna is one of the ports having installed the antenna to reach the ais signal. Using marine traffic web site, all works w/o missing areas, and its for free.

Its impossible. There are no ships in the Ionian sea.... Taranto, the third commercial port in Italy, the first for the Italian Navy. mah......

Worst!!! Why There Are not ship in Civitavecchias Port ? Plane Finder is totaly different

App is quite good, and it is nice to have information (tech data, photos) on each ship plotted. Only problem is that ships appear and disappear costantly from the server during a cruise; today you see the ship, tomorrow you see nothing, the other day you see the ship again. Hope this will be fixed soon.

Often ships are lost

It looked good so i bought it, later i found out it is not working. Many ships are not shown (while the same ships are shown in many other Apps, even in the free ones), datas are poor, updates are rare, support is rough and unfriendly .
